Topic 1: Temperate Woodland - A vegetation class similar to tropical woodland in spacing, height, and stratification, but it can be either deciduous or evergreen, broad-leaved or needle-leaved. Also known as parkland; woodland.
Biome: This is a biome with open woodlands, and in this kind of biome, wildfires are constantly started. Its location is on the western coasts of North and South America, near Mediterranean Sea, South Africa, and South of Australia. It might be more adequate to say latitudes of temperate zones, which the north zone lies between Cancer Tropic (23.5 N) and Arctic Circle (approx 66.5 N) and the south zone between Capricorn Tropic (23.5 S) and Antarctic Circle (approx 66.5 S). |
